Kaep has no leverage. Denver already has a QB, even if it is shytty Mark Sanchez. They have no real incentive to pay Kaep what he wants.
And Kaep was benched last season in San Francisco and it's not even a guarantee that he's going to be the guy for Chip this year.

So what's he gonna do? Insist on the money he's guaranteed and stay on a bad football team and compete for a position with Gabbert?
Or restructure his contract to play with a team that just won the goddamn Super Bowl?

I think this is why coming out and demanding a trade was idiotic. I get it, but didn't go about it the right way. Him and his agent did a terrible job with this.

I think Chip really wants Kaep....or at least he'd be even fukking stupider than I thought if he thinks Gabbert would work better for him. But I actually think Kaep is one of the main reasons he chose SF and this is mostly Kaep just wanting to get out after how they treated him last year. he had a off year, and we still won because of the threat of his playmaking ablity. If we didnt have DT there they would be doubling sanders all day and we shyt outta luck. He had a bad season, all good wrs got at least one, yet he still helped win the patriots game even though he was playing shytty. He came thru clutch with a broke down manning.

Gabbert looked better than he did in Jax. I didn't know this dude had athletic bone in his body. Do I think he is some great QB? No but to play with a bum O line and a 4th string RB as your starting RB, he did ok. I'm more intrigued to see what he can do if the Niners build the line and Carlos Hyde gets back in healthy.

Kaep played well when the oline was good. His struggles appeared when the oline fell off. Him and Blaine still played with a different oline. They only made changes to the line after the benching. But let's ignore that.
