So if anything, I should be more privy to the outright blatant slandering of Kobe Bryant because he shares a conference with my favorite teams. But the dude knew how to play basketball and I'm not gonna take that away from him. It's all run-and-gun fastbreaks, and considering Lebron's usually the guy with the ball in his hand, he happens to be the one to get the assist on fast breaks.

Kobe was an amalgam of all the greatest offensive players of all time and covered every conceivable facet of the game on the offensive side. His skill level far exceeds Lebron, in the same way Lebron's pure athletic capabilities far exceed Kobe. It's the classic brain vs brawn, skill vs strength, guy who worked for it vs the born natural.

Did you even watch young LeBron when he was lighter? LeBron has tons of finesse finishes in his career not just powerful ones. It is not possible for a 6'8 250-275 pound forward to have the fluidity to move as gracefully as a 6'6 200 lb. guard. Kobe stans are too into the aesthetic of his game, he was a great contested midrange shooter and a great athlete in the air himself. At the end of the day athleticism is a part of your skillset and LeBron was a flat out more effective finisher than Kobe.

He's the greatest slasher ever, in his prime he was finishing at a near 80% clip at the rim, only Durant is seeing him in present day as far as efficiency at the rim. It's not only because he is supremely athletic, but because he is also crafty he can finish with both hands equally well, he can contort his body, he's a natural lefty who plays basketball as a righty, he knows how to play the glass. He just has great touch around the rim. His finishing is the perfect marriage between brute power, vertical leap, and finesse.

LeBron doesn't just do the same dunk every time, he has a signature which is the tomahawk you're talking about, just like Jordan had the leaner with his tongue out.
