I mean...what we really talkin about? I wouldn't be in that situation, but he's more honorable than me.
We need to stop normalizing “hard work” as honorable for black folk. Don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely pushed on “minorities” and groups from lower socioeconomic backgrounds that working yourself into the ground for your family is something to be proud of. Whilst the “elite” of the world are taught to work smart not hard.

Im tired of this narrative of black men only showing their worth by “slaving” Away for the man whilst cleaning up someone else’s mistakes. “Stepping up and being a real man.” Funny how I don’t see this pushed in the Jewish, Arab or Asian community. They’re instilled to be owners and have families, not baby daddies working crazy shifts. Only us.

Imagine if he loved himself enough to leave that broad and use that money to invest in himself. He has great work ethic and character that could be applied elsewhere. Bro could finance himself a home and pay it off rather quickly. Take the equity and get a couple of rental property and find a cleaner woman with no kids to build his own empire.

I wish I could take the collective of all black men who have low self esteem and teach them to want better. So many of us (not me) are raised around people who didn’t make shyt of their lives and so they expect that’s the best they can do.

I’ve got a long ass story about a friend I helped get an apprenticeship years ago and now he’s making six figures but his life before was so pitiful, shyt was sad. Even he said to me straight “I feel so mad for years of my life I was taught that I shouldn’t expect to want better in life.” :mjcry:

Working far above your limits for far below your worth is what is considered our natural state.

People need to understand: to white america and the world, black people are still considered an expendable resource

We don't have the capital to be owners. That's why we need reparations
