Nikki Bella's not the problem here.
She's a top 3 worker in the company right now with I'd argue the best finisher in the division by far.
She's got a great Alabama Slam, a great elbow, and some other great power moves.
The problem is in her character.
Now, if they'd ever do right by Natalya and give her some shine, her and Nikki could have some classic matches.
Nikki is the best worker on the main roster right now though, just like AJ was when she had her long reign. Paige has been exposed as all the people she did good work with in NXT are even better while even her matches with AJ were sloppy let downs. Naomi still routinely makes several mistakes in any long match she has, Tamina is terrible, Brie is terrible. Nikki has been the common denominator in every good Divas match for the last year or so.
She really doesn't get enough credit on this site for how much she's stepped her game up. She is a genuinely good worker now and head and shoulders above her peers. When the NXT girls make it to the main roster, Nikki is the only current Diva who will be able to work at that level.
I won't say best, because I think Natalya and Paige are the best just due to the sheer amount of experience both have from wrestling from the womb, practically, but she's directly after them, and I don't see why people have a hard time giving her props for her marked improvement the past year or so. She's gone from trash in 2013, to one of the best female workers in the company. The match she had with Paige tonight was dope.
The main problem is that she's a natural heel and the WWE is always trying to make people cheer the Bellas when people want to boo them.
How do you know what potential Naomi has if you don't give her a chance in the first place? Naomi could push merchandise and have crossover appeal if they invest in her like The Bellas, Paige, AJ, etc. Here's the fact: They just don't WANT to do it. There's a reason why she wins non-championship matches, but when it comes to the championship matches, she loses. This is on purpose.
Let's not sit here and act like race don't play a factor. It's not Naomi's fault.

I've seen Naomi posted on a ton of Hip-Hop blogs and sites that had nothing to do with wrestling and the WWE has absolutely no interest in capitalizing on it.
I mean, in a Real Housewives of Atlanta/Love & Hip-Hop/Beyonce/Rihanna world where Black women are everywhere in pop culture and there's a Black woman in the White house, the idea that Black women can't crossover is absurd.
Why aint she and Jimmy Uso at the BET Awards?
Why not have her interact with Snoop or Wiz Khalifa and the 140 million rappers they have guest star on raw?
I mean, Hip-Hop is mainstream and she's the perfect person (until Sasha Banks comes up) to be WWE's crossover until Urban/Hip-Hop/mainstream culture.
Alicia Fox was a trash champion. At the near bottom of wwe talent.
Alicia Fox is much better than she used to be as well and is a much better athlete than people give her credit for
