Mulattos and light skin black people are not the same

A lot of light skin black people are in fact mulattos, just because you don't have a white parent doesn't mean you can't be mixed, I think that's what people don't understand, I've heard muthaphuckas say "I don't have a white parent so how am I not Black" well you could be of a lineage of mulattos, culturally/socially you might be Black but genetically you're mixed.

Nah, either you have not been around different areas of the country enough or maybe you're not Black. I have seriously never heard this shyt before of my 31 years on this planet.

I just gave you the reason why u dont hear it a lot I have proved im black multiple times

Why do people find it hard to belive that not every black person is so quick to claim someone as black or that not all of us think light skin people are black even the ones in our family

Those Naacp c00ns who co sign Rachel Dolezal or call their mixed kids black and try to claim Mariah Carey dont speak for all of us they just get the most attention

We arent that mixed to where the line is that blurry, barring a few exceptions of course.

We may be a bit mixed but to declare it officially as your label would need one white and one black parent.

And to be fair if these muthaphuckas are really rich like they claim they most likely deserve it, you know how it is, if you're Black you don't get shyt handed to you like cacs do, everything you want you gotta work for it, so how are they privileged?

I feel what he's trying to say though. He means black people in bigger cities (NYC, philly, la, sf, etc) are more closer to opportunity than black people in smaller cities or in suburban areas because they're more prone to hire black people there for work. No matter what line.

It's the reason I moved to NYC from Pittsburgh. There is no black professional scene there or a black middle class. The majority of black people there are in the low income bracket and populate the lowest income paying jobs. Seeing black people in corporate America is almost non-existent. So in a sense if you come up in that situation you really had to bust your ass to make money especially when people aren't hiring you, especially without doing anything illegal.

Let's face it, even with brehs making high paying salary they even admit they're one of the few black people in those positions or in their offices so again it speaks to the testament that many black people are indeed wanting to achieve positions like this but 1) very few are selected due to AA quotas and employer biases 2) very few can apply cause they don't have the certifications, education, or experience neccessary to get those positions.

Also, let's not act like certain black people have it better than others. African and West Indian immigrants on average struggle to move up class wise and usually end up in the same financial circumstances as african americans where they move down in social mobility. AS well, black graduates not starting up their careers compared to their counterparts.

Right....in these rust belt cities blacks are totally disfranchised....out of all my cousins...I'm one of the only ones that didn't get trapped by the system somehow

i gotta cousin that grew up with rich white folks and she get all types of perks...cheap rent in upscale areas, trips, 50k jobs etc...........upper class black privilege exist...trust me
To an extent.

I grew up in a pretty affluent family and in a pretty affluent predominantly white neighborhood. Black people with money are tolerated cause they can by their way into places. But white privilege goes farther cause they don't have to be rich to experience the perks that come with the territory. THey can even pretend to be rich or upper class if they wanted to and get away it. Black people? Not so much. Even when my family has gone to certain places (expensive restaurants) we were usually given a hard time cause most people are programmed to equate black to being poor or not having money.

Black people with money honestly are hated more than poor black people because it creates jealousy and hatred, especially amongst whites and other races who deep down believe black people should always be struggling to feel better about being mediocre or achieving not as much as others.

People don't even get it. I grew up pretty much rich, ain't no white man or woman trading places with me EVER!@
