This is why I wasn't a fan of American Horror Story: Coven. Yep and Arabs too had a thing for castrating black men. Knowing the history, up until current day, I don't understand how some black people date or marry whites and Arabs. That you can't help who you love is bs. If I don't date a white person I can't fall in love with them.
On a side note, maybe we should stop referring to those who went through slavery as ancestors, I mean I know many of our ancestors were slaves but to say "ancestors" makes many people think it occurred several hundred years ago. Slavery wasn't that long ago, many of out great grandparents were born slaves. Not to mention slavery didn't just stop after the 13th amendment.
And let's not even start on all the horrible events after slavery.

Yea....my grandmother's grandmother was a slave.
My grandmother would tell me stories about her. She was the daughter of the slave owner and a female slave, honey colored skin, hair down to her back. My grandmom said she would always sing to her when she was little. Made slavery seem alot more real and more recent than white people try to make it.
