So the Lakers have yet to open negotiations on a new deal w/ Kobe Bryant?

I want my squad to win so Kobe better take that pay cut to 10-12 milly or :camby:

I don't give a damn, this ain't a young Kobe so he better realize what he needs to do to get more rings. Ain't nah niqqa above my Lakers future:win:
kobe had one his best season last year.and has been a franchise cornerstone for more than a decade he deserves more than 10-12 mil.

My Pops Forever RIP
dude, lol

ITS KOBE. Put aside y'all ideas of being super GM. ITS KOBE. HE DOESNT PLAY FOR ANOTHER NBA SQUAD EVER. HE RETIRES A LAKER.

good lord. I know what y'all think makes sense for y'all. It dont work like that in this instance. Lakers have had 7 non trade-able players. Kobe is one.

Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Worthy, West and Elgin Baylor are the others

That's fine. I'm not saying dump him, but please believe if Kobe's asking for $25 mil a season, Kobe needs to make peace with the fact that he ain't winning another ring

The thing is Kobe is actually worth 30+ million! He means AT LEAST double, maybe triple that to the Laker franchise in terms of off court revenue. The salary cap is the problem here, not how much Kobe is actually worth.

Thing is I know the lakers will pay the tax but how far over are they willing to go?
They have his rights so they can always sign other free agents first then sign him last to go over the cap but theyll have to pay the heavy tax.

Then its how much are they going to pay him? If he comes back without missing a step, hes still kobe and as valuable to the lakers off as he is on the court.

Lakers have the money to pay him and go over but are they willing to is the question.

TYRONE GA!
they need to do an underhand deal with Bean so we can sign some cats next season...Giving Bean that much bread will cripple the team. You can have Bean, another max cat, and trash....fukk that.

Bulls gave Mike the same kinda deal in his last 2 years...also if he replicates last seasons stats and dominance, then he more than deserves that MAX of 2 year 75 mil......he literally carried the team on his back this season with all his injuries to a 7 almost 6 seed. nash was injured , dwight was a injured p*ssy...gasol injured...hill injured...blake injured...kobe was a 1 man show in a dominant ass western conferenece and still got it done..smh...who know what wouldve happened with a healthy kobe in the playoffs. i know for sure they were beating the spurs in the 1st round

3 things here Jordan had going for him that kobe does not

1. Michael Jordan was clearly the best player in the league. Is Kobe top 5?

2. Michael Jordan up to that point was heavily underpaid and the bulls owed it to him to make up for it. Kobe had made over 200 milly

3. Jordan didn't tear his achilies the season before and is unknown how a 35 year old is going to recover.
