Well, I don't organize the census nor do I take any pride in demographic power so the "you CACS" thing is a little overblown. But brown people aren't treated as white in this country, at all. Censuses are filled out by the person being surveyed, so yes, white supremacy makes people who want to be white check that box. It's confusing for Middle Eastern people because there's no option for them, so many just check white and "other" in ethnicity.
