I thought spotify was 7.99. ? I have Google Music Unlimited and it's 7.99. I think people on spotify, Google and others have playlist and albums already invested and its just not worth it to move for the same price or more. I DL the app and used it for about a week. It's not worth it to me. They have a lot of good features like brand bios and stuff but honestly im good with what I got. Now if they offered the sound with the 10 price point I would consider moving but why move if I'm happy where I'm at. He didn't do enough to convince people that pay for Mus to switch to Tidle. But like you said it's still early. If you want the version similar to the Spotify version, you can get that on Tidal for the Spotify's price i.e price shouldn't be an issue here. However, if you have good speakers and a good sound system, you can elect to get the high quality streaming version for $20. For those complaining about paying, streaming without advertising is really the future: all the music that i want to play, i can get that on the spot, create playlists etc. If there is no connection where im going, i create and offline playlist and the playlist tracks get downloaded onto my phone.
Anyway, still early days and dooms day prophets are just speculating
I've used all services and you can port your Playlist from Spotify to Tidal or Spotify to Play Music. You can also get a playlist from friends. Its $10 for premium subscription across the providers. Anything less must have been a temporary promo price.I thought spotify was 7.99. ? I have Google Music Unlimited and it's 7.99. I didn't know anything about this shyt except that Jay-Z was involved so I wanted it to fail, but then I looked into it and found out that it streams lossless audio and now I'm all for it. Compressed MP3s are killing the quality of music because now everyone is actually recording and mastering their music to sound good in shytty compressed 320 kbps MP3, which means they compress the shyt out of it. What that does is kill the dynamic range of the music, meaning the entire song is the same volume so that it sounds loud. This takes away from the dynamics of music, like when you have that big 808 kick, or a huge bassline drop, these are supposed to be louder than the rest of the song to give you that feeling of the bass drop. When they compress the shyt out of the music your hi-hat is the same volume as the 808 and bassline which is bullshyt
Still funny how this was interpreted as him "standing behind" Barney's. Before the racial profiling incident, Barney's was giving like 25% of the collection to the fund for underprivileged kids to go to college. After they were exposed for the racial profiling, Jay Z more or less coerced them into giving 100% of the proceeds instead. So while some people said Jay Z sold out, what he really did was make Barney's completely waste all of their money spent on making the collection and donate $1 million for kids who need it. He doesn't get that deal with another store because no other store was in a position where they had to give away all of the money they would have made from it
so why change if what you have is working just fine? Because it's Jay-Z. And I just said I pay 7.99 for google. Maybe the price went up since I got it when it first came out. But for the $10 version it's really no point in switching unless your a super fan of the people who only put out music through Tidle Which a lot of fans don't like in the first place. Alot of Android users were pissed that Beyonce didn't put the album out across the board.I've used all services and you can port your Playlist from Spotify to Tidal or Spotify to Play Music. We have a very good sound system in the crib and in my car so i hopped over to Tidal. I agree, there isnt enough motivation otherwise to switch but when all is said and done, Spotify might peak if they don't get exclusives or if they continue with the free service as is.
If They Would've Just Offered The Premier Sound For $10 I Think It Would Be A Hit. 20 is just to much for most consumers who actually buy music. In a time where I can literally find any song ever recorded online, you have to sell something I "want" to buy. Netfleee did this perfectly, not only is it under 10 dollars to subscribe, but they also release good series's like Daredevil or Arrested Development. They even encourage binge watching. Tidal needed a feature that allowed you to listen to the music online for however long, and then buy it later. Basically leasing with an option to buy. Instead, they came out with ridiculous prices and a horrible platform.
