As far as the bolded, this is true. "14 Shots To The Dome" was seen as LL trying to be "hardcore", talking about shooting and robbing people because around '92, '93 rap was getting into some gangster/thug shyt.

I remember watching that first video....I think it was called "How I'm Coming" or something....like because it was so corny.
