There's taqueria tacos: corn tortillas, cilantro, onions, queso fresco (maybe) some kind of grilled meat like pollo, asada, lengua, tripe etc....plus a spicy salsa.

Most Americans ain't making those at home unless they're Mexican or just REALLY love Mexican food.

Flour tortillas, cheddar cheese, ground beef with taco seasoning (cumin/cayenne), lettuce, tomato and maybe jalapeños. Sour cream is optional but honestly just dulls the flavors. Better off using spicy queso.

Next time I make tacos I'm using queso instead of cheese and guac. But Tabasco stays on deck. Idk wtf it is about the Tabasco pepper but that shyt takes it to parts unknown. And then you got the Miller lite beer running for money?

Not really. The taco the way Americans eat them is a b*stardization (maybe modification is a fairer term) of the original intent of the dish. In others it's more of an American culture thing.
