David Aldridge on NBA TV saying the Thunders are still a WCF contender :wtf:

They're maybe a playoff team now with a peak seed of 6-8

He might be right...:ehh:

GS
SAS

And who else?

The Clippers have underachieved
I dont trust Portland
Minny gotta show something
Memphis isnt currently better
Utah might make noise
Dallas is in shambles

Depending on what matchups they get, they could sneak in there:manny:

First they need to find out what westbrooks intentions are because if he wants to stay i say build around him. They might be able to engineer a sign and trade and get iggy would probably be what I would do initially.

No, they can't. The Clippers beat them in 5. Portland will beat them in 6. If they somehow get that #4 seed and Minny @ #5...I'll take them in an upset.

Memphis, Utah nor Dallas get a top 5 seed in the west so it doesn't matter.

I'm really high on Utah this year. I think they're going to be for real. They won 40 games and were completely snake bitten by injuries. Lost Gobert for 6 weeks, Dante Exum tore his ACL during the summer. Probably win their last 2 games, make the playoffs and have a tough playoff series with GS if Gobert and Favors don't go down at the end of the season.......They now have George Hill, Dante Exum is back, Alec Burks is back......They also have a Joe Johnson which makes them even more versatile.

I think Memphis should rebound provided they're healthy.

This OKC team looks like a 45 win team or so..........There's absolutely no way they're going to the WCF unless there's injuries.

Thunder need to push a Russ trade asap before the season starts to insure they get good draft position

Just sell to best package before training camp and start over
This is the smart move. We'll see how smart they are.

I'd offer Westbrook an extension right now, if he doesn't agree to it I move him, it's a must. You cannot risk losing him next summer.

It'd be wise just to trade him. Although he's a great player, I doubt his game will age gracefully, since he's already inefficient and has no J. Trade him now, Russ alone won't do shyt in the West. GS has this shyt on lock for a few years, just tank and play for the future.

The owners really fukked themselves with the way extensions are handled. Has even one star signed an extension during the course of this CBA. It just makes too much sense to opt out and get that extra year at the end of the extension. So I see no way in hell Westbrook would agree to any extensions. Also killed the chance to trade players on the last year of their deals since they won't agree to an extension with their new teams either.

If I'm the Thunder I'm trying to see if I can get that Nets pick off Boston, Bradley or Smart, and Brown. Just tear it all down. Or see if the Lakers would come off Ingram/Russell even though as a Lakers fan I would absolutely hate for the Lakers to do that.

Nah, I wouldn't even offer an extension. Just trade him...Westbrook on his own is not going anywhere in the west and I don't think he is a player that you can build around.

Even if it's in the same conference...trade him for the best deal you can get. The best picks you can possibly secure on top of the picks you will now get for the next 2-3 years while you are rebuilding.

fukk the thunder...
They had perry Jones iii and was on bullshyt with him and could have virtually had two Durants, and one for the cheap.
When Durant was out Jones was getting a hair below thirty a game at the start of the 2014 season. fukk the thunder, they did it to themselves and sewttle's karma gods came calling.

fukk the thunder,.......
