What would you deem acceptable for butler
I would have done Dunn/Lavine and hit the restart button
I would have also done Dunn/1 Nets pick as well

OKC doesnt have enough outside Russ to get a deal done

I see like 5 different fanbases salivate over the idea of getting Jimmy, so I dont see any need to sell for under value

Hell
Blow it up. Trade Russ now whilst his value is high and get some picks. Teams are only gonna lowball the Thunder from here on since no one expects him to stay now.

Build around Oladipo and Adams in the meantime and hope for at least two high first round draft picks.

Russ ain't staying in OKC if he knows he can't compete also OKC isn't a attractive place for athletes best for them to blow it up and start fresh, I believe Kevin was leaving regardless I don't think he likes playing in that city, these young dudes wanna live and grow OKC ain't the spot for that.

Butler is good, not worth 2 Nets picks and 3 starters good though.
that is not what they were demanding from Boston, you cant just go with anything seen on twitter and run with it (not you, but Im seeing that trade demand regurgitated elsewhere)

it makes no sense when you look at what they wanted from the Wolves (Dunn/Lavine)

If I'm Presti, I take Bradley, Brown, and the Nets' pick for Sabo. Ainge should do this, so long as he can ensure Westbrook stays longer (maybe via a sign and trade , if still permitted under the CBA:patrice:). A Westbrook and Thomas backcourt would be pretty damn scary for opposing defenses. Or after getting Westbrook, Ainge could make a move for another free agent (Jimmy Butler) and have Isaiah come off the bench. It really all depends on whether Ainge wants to win now or bide his time for the trade deadline or next off-season. If he waits until next off-season, he could try another pitch to Durant and/or make a move for Rudy Gobert. Ainge really has all the leverage and a few avenues to consider but he MUST part with Bradley, Brown and that pick to get Sabo.

The longer OKC tries to hold onto Westbrook, the less likely it is he'll stay. OKC REALLY put themselves in a bad spot. Presti needs to focus on building around Oladipo and Adams via trades and draft picks since nobody's coming to OKC as a free agent. And he needs to accept the fact that ALL trade offers he gets for Westbrook are going to be low-ball offers. He just has to take the best one he can get and Ainge has the right pieces.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I think that was exaggerated

I heard alot of reports they would have done Dunn/Lavine, but Wolves would only do Dunn/Rubio and Bulls held their ground
Celts could have had him for #3(Dunn) & the Nets pick Id believe, not knocking the Celts for passing, but there is no way the Bulls demanded Bradley, Crowder, Smart, #3 and the Nets picks - that doesnt make any sense

The Celtics have more assets, which is why you ask for more.

You're not about to ask for Dunn and Wiggins or Dunn and Towns cause they'd just laugh and hang up and you know things are already bad between Thibs & GarPax to begin with. I think the Bulls asked for the world of the Celtics, it makes more sense to me, if they didn't ask for so much the Celtics would have taken Dunn instead of Brown. Taking Brown tells me the Bulls were asking for some ridiculous shyt so the C's just went with the player they liked instead, they were so far apart that taking Dunn didn't make sense.

I'd offer Westbrook an extension right now, if he doesn't agree to it I move him, it's a must. You cannot risk losing him next summer.

I agree

Russ its your team now, you want to shoot 30 times a game do it

If not trade him asap

Ya'll got Westbrook all fukked up. He is cut from the Kobe mold. He ain't gonna just run to a superteam to join up with other dudes. I think Durant leaving OKC makes it more likely he stays. I think it's like the Kobe-Shaq breakup, one of em went, so now Westbrook has his team and he's gonna do him.

I could be wrong and feel free to quote me a year from now if I am, but that's the kind of guy he strikes me as. I would bet money he stays in OKC :youngsabo:

You sound silly.

Its obvious Durant got no guarantee from Westbrook and that aided his decision

They just went through this with KD, if Russ doesn't sign the extension this summer you gotta move him, we've seen stars walk now. Not signing the extension is becoming too common not to take as a warning sign of them leaving.
