So according to Chance stans in this thread(cant believe they even exist on this site), Chance is doing a bunch of tours and shows therefore he doesnt need to release music. They act like he's some veteran who has a catalog he can sit on. In reality, he's a flavor of the month rapper who got gassed to oblivion over the past year and I have yet to see him take it to that next level in the fashion similar to rappers who were once in his place like Kendrick.

I personally thought he'd drop an album or something this year and blow up like ive seen so many industry plants do before but at this point I see his peak being somewhere along the lines of Tyler The Creator or Gambino which isn't bad at all, but the way I saw nikkas gas him I thought he'd be the next Kendrick.

I think you're confusing a fan with common sense who can use Google, and a "stan." As we said before he has had features this year, along with a freestyle, a cypher verse, radio interviews, all while touring. He's doing what any rapper who is starting to build a national fanbase would do, and that is to support it and grow it. He's been popular for almost two years, and I don't think Tyler, the Creator nor Childish Gambino have reached their peak (not that either of them are ina rush to, they both have television shows, and endorsements and Donald Glover does about 100 other things.) I have doubts he's an "industry plant" or whatever that means, because he's oddball and working with a forumla that isn't getting him *that* popular, just popular enough.

Yeah different artists have different creative processes, but when the fans put pressure on artists to create constantly and stay relevant, then their art is devalued.

I could give a fukk about a rapper who caters to the industry with some color-by-numbers bullshyt. Who is actually pushing the boundaries? that's what matters.

Do you realize that ever since Chance became famous he hasn't dropped ONE project to capitalize off of his buzz? He dropped Acid Rap before all of the hype and nothing followed.

I'm not even saying he needs to OD like your average internet rapper, but tracks every now and then, just to remind dudes he's still out there putting in work would make sense.
