Im all for competition, so I have nothing against Xbox. I actually liked the 360 only for it to get the rrod

Im just wondering what the plan is. I read one comment that they might just slap their name on a gaming PC just like the handheld. Thing is, with no exclusives, why buy their PC or Handheld?

Are they purely going the software route? Just games with no hardware?

That wasn't bullshyt. This was true until after the xbox one. The 360 was a threat until bad decisions were selected and the brand was damaged by the xbox one with a decline afterwards. Nintendo and Sony are now the sole providers of game consoles which could turn out alright or really bad depending on what consumers tolerate.

Today I saw an ad on IG that said “this screen is an Xbox”, the day after it was announced that Halo will be on PlayStation moving forward

They’re a major software publisher that happens to make hardware on the side. The alleged $1000 console will be there for hardcore enthusiasts but otherwise they’re effectively Microsoft Gaming and have been operating as such

Xbox is done, they just gonna use the branding for prebuild PCs and portable PCs.

The "console" will probably be manufactured by someone else like the Handheld so they pretty much gonna sell or rent the brand.
