I'm going to have to disagree fam. Mainly because that one gay player in a locker room will likely fukk up the whole dynamic of what happens in that locker room. All of a sudden certain jokes won't be made and dudes will be wondering if the gay player is looking at them a certain way, or if he's gonna come onto you and shyt like that.It's not simple because the media will make it a bigger deal than it actually is. The majority of the locker room wont care. If you can play- you can play. Organizations simply don't want the backlash and the scrutiny of releasing a gay player.
I been around a lot of athletes...and in this day and age, they ain't really ready to have that honest conversation about accepting a gay athlete in a locker room with them. That is probably why we've never seen a half-decent player, much less a star, come out while active.
