I don't understand the argument that a failure to remove Trump from office is somehow going to make him more popular?
Totally get that the Senate removing him is unlikely at this point. But it's clear that he is flippantly breaking laws. An impeachment trial that clearly lays this all out won't sway the die hard MAGA crowd but how is this going to somehow going to make him popular among the less interested independent crowd
Unless this Ukraine thing completely blows up in the Dems faces, I really don't see it. The dems should also be impeaching on everything. Don't put all the eggs in one basket.
He's going to play the "everybody is after me" victim card. You know, "presidential harassment", "Dems are just mad they lost the election", "liberal media", etc.
As for whether it'll be effective...
