it's my understanding that it has an overall 'story', with factions and such, that plays out in multiplayer. some kind of mix between a co-op and vs multiplayer game I guess. I'm curious what it will really be like, and how it will play out

i'm doing no such thing and yes the majority of games nowadays have some type of mp to help with replayability/increase purchase appeal, but that doesnt make it the focus of the game...the focus of games like gears and halo is the mp, that's why the majority buy those games...that's how they're marketed, talked about, and judged....just like the focus of games like uncharted and last of us is the sp, that's why people buy those games...that's how they are marketed, talked about, and judged....now, does that mean sp focused games should only have a sp or mp focused games should have only mp? no, but to act like you cant tell what the focus is of a game is being naive...take the game this thread is about for example, titanfall: people arent waiting for it to come out for the sp part of the game, they waiting for the mp aspects of...
to take i further: mp is how ms got it's foot into the gaming community to begin with period...yea, sony had mp on some games, but that wasnt their focus and it showed...so ms saw an opportunity and took advantage of it: making mp easier on consoles, hence halo...which is cool...
well i can agree with that, i misunderstood what you were saying. titanfall doesn't even a single player campaign btw.
yep, no single player, but hey, it just validates what your saying.
me ont he other hand, i want a game with a great SP and a great MP experience. focus equally on both. although i do believe this next gen is going to focus more on massive online campaigns.

Only caught up to it a few days ago, watched some gameplay trailers and was like"we could have an issue here"

How well do you guys think 'deep down' will do? I was turned off by it being an online title but I'm coming around.
I don't think we know much about it. some kind of free-2-play rpg I guess. "multiplayer", but they're not calling it an MMO, so it's probably a smaller co-op deal (4-5 players). not sure if there will be any player-vs-player stuff. and free-2-play seems to insinuate microtransactions

If it's like Planetside 2 then the micro transactions shouldn't be a bother. A beta is suppose to be dropping around Japan's PS4 launch (feb 22)
Have to view Titanfall with skepticism. How many times has their been massive hype for a new FPS IP (homfront, Haze, Mag) only for it to turn out crap? Plus EA at the helm?
it's only so long you can play and enjoy single player games....Titanfall and Halo 5 next year....u nikkas better start saving up for an X1....unless you plan on playing COD and Battlefield throughout this gen.
Destiny is looking like a first person WoW. It looks like it will be a dope party game, not so much a dope PvP game...imo.

Titanfall sequels will be on the Quad and you can still play TF1 on the 360 and PC.
Halo isn't special to me. So I'm not missing anything on the Xbone. I don't buy systems for 1 game.
