#1 face? Did u watch Summerslam 02 main event? He wasn't even top heel...Lesnar was more over.

Completely agreed. And this lines up with the gap in a true main guy between the Ruthless Aggression era and the Cena/PG era
put up your list...i know you get a lot of hate but for someone so passionate about wrestling knowledge and who has watched it for decades you have to respect their opinion on it...If i was a wrestler i'd be checking my feedback on this forum every week and also low key promoting myself with an alias making movements about my wwe character

Macho Man...ruled no matter how u dice it and the Mega Powers was an add on to his popularity. Elizabeth was red hot with fans too. Everyone benefited.
Bret Hart was pushed as #1 but fans never chose him over Taker in actuality. A blurb that gets forgotten in history.

He beat the Rock man to man..clean. Rock bytchslapped and owned Cripple H like a jobber right before Summerslam to let u know he under that entire situation. Lesnar was getting solid and sustained heat going into Summerslam. He won the real title. Cripple H was handed a briefcase title. Lesnar was the top guy. Cripple H was just a pushed heel beating past their prime threats. Lesnar mainevented WM 19..not Cripple H. Hollywood ran the heel card and pushed everyone back on Raw anyway..including Austin
Do you find it reasonable to say that between lesnar and cena was undertaker....? Taker even made cena look legit and "gave him the rub" in both his very first nights on smackdown and in cenas most major heel fued. No way that would've made sense if he wasnt the guy. Plus undertaker was the only guy to close a mania with the whc match...he made it the alpha belt over cena's.
2004-2005? Eddie's storyline ruled Smackdown after Lesnar quit..not Taker. JBL was a blowhard nothing happening champion that was prepped up for Cena. Didn't onow at the time until noticing they never interacted.
Btw, Its arguable that in the 04/05/06 period there really wasnt THE MAN. A lot of guys were being built up like cena, rko, and batista....and edge/eddy/jbl/hhh/etc weren't on the level of the guys we've agreed on
True. This was the time they started putting major emphasis on The Mania Streak every year.
I know. Cena got kicked out of the main event for Taker and others. He was still called the very top guy. He was already credible no matter what because he never lost.
im talking from MSG Return to DX turn he was the top face and if they wouldve kept him as a face having him vs Brock woulda been crazy
He wasnt the top face. ..Rock and Austin were. He got kicked out his post Mania spot for Hogan too. He was demoted at King of the Ring for the Rock return too. As a face.
