Scarface and E 40 was the first to make whole albums based on selling drugs so they was the first to do Trap rap but if u wanna talk the "Trap sound" as we know today... Master P made that sound popular... Ugk, and Geto Boys did it first and dabbled wit the sound but Master P made whole albums wit the trap sound

At thinking Trap music started with TIP and Jeezy. You can trace that shyt back to the Geto Boys, UGK, DOC, and production wise early 3'6 Mafia and Pimp C.
