look at what happened to richard sherman.
these new nba players to worried about their perception and that fukking up their earning potential
back then nikkas aint give a fukk what white people thought. the hood ran the nba and nba players where likeif you didn't like it
Players nowadays are terrified to show any kind of personality since they're under such a big microscope now.The players from the Jordan/Pre-Lebron era were cut from a different cloth. They embraced the spotlight, weren't afraid to be themselves and didn't give a fukk about what people thought of them. They just went out played ball and continued about they business. Back then, they seemed larger than life....like cartoon characters or something. You had to watch shyt like Inside Stuff to see how these dudes were really like.
I also blame it on today's society. Hipster culture is IN right now especially in the black community. Were to busy focusing on our appearance and what's cool that we hide our true identities just to fit in. That attitude is carrying over to the NBA since most guys are coming young as 19-20 years old that seemed to have no life experiences/struggles. They all just wanna be friends, play dress up, have fun, fukk instagram bytches and stunt.
The NBA is just a job to them.
I want to find more ratings but the ratings have gone down since the 90s

Yea in the last couple of years its picked up but it ain't where it used to be
All I see is a guy who didn't have money to the same guy with $80 mil. Who's the real Russy?
You're gonna go from wearing Triple 5 Soul shirts to designer shyt too once you come up on some millz.

/threadDudes are funny. When cats have outgoing and gregarious personalities they're "cornballs." When they're reserved or chill personalities, they're boring. When they don't give a fukk they're stupid. If a dude does dance or smile too much for your liking, or not take every game like the fate of the known universe lies in the balance, they're a c00n. It's like there's no middle ground. Everything is to the extreme. If Dwight Howard did the same thing Gary Payton did in the locker room tomorrow night y'all would be like:.![]()
When LeBron and them danced a few years ago at the introductions y'all were probably like:

I mean, what the fukk do y'all want?
I truly believe as a celebrity or athlete or whatever, you have to put your own happiness ahead of others. People are so mercurial that's there's really no need to try to appease them. If they like you, cool. If they don't, fukk 'em.

The hood is corny as fukk now too. It's not like the NBA is missing the wave

Why are we assuming Russy's not being himself?
Maybe guys like KD and Harden are just metrosexuals.
These dudes really viewing the nba as a job now.. it's what stern wanted
.. but it's killing the game

And Adam Silver wants to challenge the NFL![]()

Yea another reason the NBA fails is becuz they have no parity in the leagueLast year they did a 3.3, highest since 2000 3.0 the year prior same as 01. Let's not under rate the Jordan Era, less cable tv and that NBC had MORE games on for the NBA. Saturday double headers and Sunday triple headers. So many games on different networks now, it was a lot more condensed then. And now we're subjugated to the same OKC/MIAMI/NYK/LAL/CHI Sunday double headers even when the teams are having trash seasons.

Michael Jordan was one of the fakest nikkas in the history of sports. He had a team of people who crafted this good guy image when he really was an a$$hole. This nikka would never give an opinion on any topic that was even slightly controversial because he was concerned about his image.
