I knew that seeing him as POTUS would give these young Black kids something to be proud of and would give them the real HOPE to be able to strive to be something in life. When the most successful nikka in your hood is the dope man that means alot for the young kids to be able to see someone that looks like them on TV and in the news who has reached that level.

This right here is exactly how i felt. I also said to people after his election and re-election that it was time to get to work, build yourself up and that local elections have more of an effect on peoples day to day lives than general elections do.

I didn't... And again I'm black. I also like using logic when I make decisions, voting for Obama just because he was black isn't even close to logical. Ultimately he had the better campaigns than anyone close to winning and Mcain/Palin/Romney wasn't a good look at all. So he won by default to me but why would I vote for him just because he was black if I thought he was going to be incompetent. Why would I want to set up the first black president like that?
