fukk off fakkit, New Orleans really in that great of a place since? One 8th seeded spot since where they were swept? "Oh but they got Anthony Davis", ya and haven't done shyt with him and had to "tank" to get him.
They had Eric Gordon and two potential #1 overall picks. They were going to suck anyway but at least it gave the new owner a chance to get a superstar and mold the team to his own liking.

The Lakers deal gave them a bunch of veterans on big contracts. They could have just kept CP3 and lost him for nothing and then signed a bunch of veterans the next year if they wanted that. Dell Demps should have been fired.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Nope it was cuban and Gilbert crying your telling me Kaman, Gordon and Aminu was a better package than Lamar Odom, Luis Scola, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic and a 2012 first-round pick??

Yall can keep lying to yourselves that it was a bad deal that got vetoed

Being bad got them Anthony Davis.

If they had the Laker trade they would have been a 40-44 win team, which is NBA purgatory.

why did the NBA nix the deal? because it was a garbage deal that would have killed any worth that franchise had. The NBA was in the process of trying to find a permanent owner, and a team with Chris Paul attached to it was a lot more appealing that a team with Lamar Odom, Luis Scola, and Goran Dragic.

They would have had more success, including playoff success, with the Lakers package. Is that not what the league is meant to be about? Actual success?

What they got was an awful deal and it's turned out as such. If the draft was rigged for them to get Davis that would have gone down as one of the worst deals ever.

This ain't 20/20 hindsight.

Anthony Davis was never a guaranteed part of that deal. They got Eric Gordon, who had injury problems the past 2 years with the Clippers, Kaman who was a washed up vet but serviceable, and Aminu(a prospect), as well as the Minny's 2012 pick.

Instead of Dragic(who had a breakout year and had potential at that time as well), Kevin Martin(another serviceable vet), Scola(who was still performing well with the Rockets), and New York's 2012 pick.

So you really about to tell me that Eric Gordon makes the Clippers trade, at that time, SO MUCH better? I'm not gonna pretend like Gordon didn't have hype at the time, as he was coming off a good year, but he also did have injury concerns, but these deals weren't exactly DRASTICALLY different. Lakers could have thrown in more picks if that's what Stern wanted, but it's laughable to act like the Clippers deal was some great package for the best point guard in the league.

It's hilarious how CP3's two biggest claims to fame are being a guy who can't get his team past the 2nd round and the guy who would have single-handedly made a Lakers team that was on the downturn into a contender :mjlol:. The entitlement, hypocrisy, and complete disregard for reality is even funnier.

Lakers/Kobe fans were right there with everybody else crying about "superteams".

Just so happens that the league owned the Hornets at the time so the Lakers couldn't pull off their traditional rape.

Some idiot thought it would be a good idea to pull this move off before the ink from the CBA dried. Jeannie herself acknowledged this.

CP3 would not have made that big of a difference based on the direction the team was going and he would have taken all the blame. Dwight still would left. Kobe still woulda been chucking. Phil still wouldn't have been brought back. Antoni still would have been Antoni. Squad still wouldn't have won shyt and wouldn't even have young talent to show for it right now.

Well the Lakers would have performed better the last few years if they traded Randle, Russell etc for guys like Arron Afflalo or Wilson Chandler. You don't sacrifice your future to be mediocre, that's just stupid.

And how the fukk are you going to act like it was known Eric Gordon wouldn't play much but then say the Anthony Davis drafting was just dumb luck? Either you use hindsight or foresight but you're trying to use both just to make the Lakers offer seem less shytty.
