So why did the NBA give Steve Nash those MVPs when he didn't deserve them?

Stole an MVP from both Kobe and Shaq looking back on it. Is what it is though, history never gives Nash full credit for his MVPs anyway though, so fukk it, kinda evens out

We're talking about basketball, a real sport, not a CAC fake sport like baseball where fat asses like Rod Beck can be considered great.
I like your posting but this is neg worthy. Please apologize. Ask anyone in New York or New England or Chicago or anywhere with a good baseball team. We treat baseball with higher regard than any sport in the 516/631/212/347/718. LeBron didn't miss the playoffs in 2006 though. They lost in the second round in 7 to Detroit 61-79

D'antoni

Close thread

Back then phoenix was the only team in the league playing small ball snd running the pick and roll spread offense.....because most teams were still using traditional personnel it made them elvery tough to defend

Jeremy lin even had success :russ:

Dantoni is the goat*

Didn't they have like a 40 win turnaround from 04 to 05? When you factor that and Nash being very likable and no one really standing out that year it's easy to see how he won it. I would have given it to Shaq though

And in 06 the Suns won 50+ games in spite of STAT's absence so that's why he got it that year. He was better in 06 but the candidates were better, would have considered one of Kobe, Dirk, LeBron, or even Wade before Nash, all better and arguably more valuable to their team. Always thought he benefited a lot from D'antoni, but he's also a big part of why that team worked; not a coincidence some of the best offenses ever were led by Nash.

Im just assuming OP doesn't actually watch basketball
Nash is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history with the most (4) 50-40-90 seasons.
They had basically the same team the year before with Stephon Marbury and won 29 games. With Nash they won 62.
Those suns teams revolutionized the NBA and should have won a title in 06-07 if it wasn't for the bogus Amare suspension.
