I doubt Jay Z is the actual problem. Those were just jokes. But like everyone else said their rollout was all wrong :francis:
They thought if they got big time celebrities to say "hey buy this because I think it's cool" would be enough :martin: but it clearly wasn't.
I'm still on my Apple Music free trial :ehh: these 3 free months are a nice touch :ehh:
I don't really need a streaming service. But I do see the use for it :ehh:. All that music for $10 :ehh:.
And I see rappers are making their way to Apple Music and getting exclusives :ehh:

The coli is anti anything Black celebs are involved in

I've noticed that too. When tidal was announced these dudes were saying they're not supporting tidal to make a bunch of rich celebrities richer, but in the apple thread was calling their service the greatest thing ever created and they can't wait to support apple (even though they have over 100 billion in cash in the bank).

Not to mention some of those same fakkits were in the tidal thread saying they're not supporting Jay because he hasn't done anything for the black community :martin:

I been rocking with tidal for about 3months now and for $9.99 I cant complain, ive seen exclusive concerts, Rihanna in brazil, unlimited streams of quality music, dope celebrity playlists,hi def quality,....its easy access...the app messes up sometimes and lags but that will get fixed with time. Tidal is pretty good ta me. Every time I ask someone "have you heard such and such new song or album" and they be like "Nah", I be like u slippin better get on Tidal for 10 cash.

Mainstream brainwashed idiots most of em. The type to line up for a Iphone 7 when they just spent over 600 for an Iphone 6 10 months earlier. Gotta do what Twitter tells them to do.

Because people dont like a segmented market. If i could pay for one service that has everything then I would be willing to pay more than 9.99 a month for it. But now we can see the music streaming services start to go the way video has with different clients having a different selection. I dont want to pay Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, CBS, HBO, etc... just to stream some shows and movies. So i dont want to have to pay Tidal, Spotify, and Apple for music.

Nobody is saying to pay for all those services. The question is why does Tidal get the unnecessary hate? Dudes are upset because tidal has exclusive shyt but in the apple thread nobody was screaming fukk Apple when they announced exclusive music. Go into the Tidal announcement thread, read the complaints, then go in the Apple music thread and see you if anyone is complaining.

I just think being frustrated because of a service other people are NOT using is funny.

"Y'all not praising Tidal. I'm "

Does it matter? If you find it to be a quality product and like it, isn't that all that matters?

I use Colgate toothpaste but I don't get mad when I see someone at the store grabbing Crest. fukkin difference does it make? :what:

Yo you speaking with way too much logic and reason right now for the Coli

Alot of marketing trolls from Apple and probably Spotify came on this thread around that time.

It's part of the reason some still have angst regarding Tidal's marketing in the beginning without really knowing why they should even be made about "marketing".

Tidal's business model is a threat to streaming services who were jacking music from artist for basically free and paying them peanuts (Spotify). Apple was poised to do the same thing.

Tidal's mantra was that artists should benefit from the creation of their own work, not the corporation or the digital platform.

All those artists coming together was to show unity and to usher in a different paradigm in the music business. It wasn't about changing the whole word, but the world of music.

People are mad about that because they were told to be mad by competitors like Spotify who have been eating off of giving out free music for years now. They don't want to have to change that.

The market and demographics of the audience plays a huge role. People may not have been complaining about some Apple music exclusives here but you better believe on other less hip-hop focused forums i frequent they were hot about the Taylor Swift 1989 Apple music exclusive. The Dre album dropped on Apple music while it was free so there wasnt a big backlash here. Tidal is getting exclusive hip hop, this is a hip hop site, so naturally you could see why exclusives of one service would cause more of an uproar here than exclusives of another service.

215 Uptown!
It doesn't offer anything the others don't and the others already have a backlog of their own music people have uploaded.

Honestly Google Music is the best bang for your buck right now because you also get Youtube red.
