Progressivism is the source of the inequality. There are very strict zoning laws, so Housing Supply can never meet housing demand ever.

I was a active member of Bay Area conservative action groups before. They will never win in Bay Area ever. The most wealthy areas in the Bay are actually the bluest areas. I know this because, I saw the constituent data, and went door-to-door for volunteer "walks". We actually have given up and started endorsing blue dog democrats.

The Prius driving whole foods liberals drive up the costs of everything.

In the Bay Area, a lot of the blue collar work-shifts (warehouse guys, truck drivers and so on) end at around 2pm. (6 am to 2pm shifts). Around 2pm, there is bumper-to-bumper traffic from 680 to 580 coming from the South Bay and 580 coming from the east bay. The bumper-to-bumper traffic ends at I5 in Stockton. The blue collar workers work in the bay and live Tracy/Stockton. It's 2 hour commute in traffic one-way... That is horrible life. I am lucky that I don't have to do that everyday.

At 9am on the 101 you will see 100s of BMWs, Teslas, and Mercedes driving up and down. Conversely at 2pm on the east bound 580, you will see trucks, 90s model Hondas and 10 year old sedans.

The bay is actually a very fukked up place.

Terrible post.

I am a lot older than this guy, but when I was in my early 20's San Jose had a great night scene. It seems dead to me now, but I don't party like that anymore.

San Jose is also more of a traditional sprawling California city. San Francisco is more like New York.

San Jose is now where as expensive as the peninsula or San Francisco.

San Jose, Milpitas and Fremont are definitely the most affordable places in the bay
. There are no black people out here, so if that is an issue for you, I wouldn't move here.

:usure:

richmond, castro valley, hayward are some of the cities that are way cheaper in the bay area than what u listed because they're shyt holes. fremont is a nice middle class suburb with excellent schools and expensive houses, usually 500,000$ and up and 1 bedroom apartments around 2k a month. :usure:

hayward and richmond on the other hand have higher crime rates and old decrepit housing making them more affordable than any of the 3 cities you listed.

As of August, 2014, average apartment rent within 10 miles of San Jose, CA is $2311.
One bedroom apartments in San Jose rent for $1834 a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $2282.

As of August, 2014, average apartment rent within 10 miles of Milpitas, CA is $2247.
One bedroom apartments in Milpitas rent for $1842 a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $2328.

As of August, 2014, average apartment rent within 10 miles of Fremont, CA is $2080.
One bedroom apartments in Fremont rent for $1804 a month on average and two bedroom apartment rents average $2241.

its basically stanford mall, that little strip across from it with coffee shops and downtown palo alto which is restaurants and bars and one big fukking yawn

redwood city is disgustingly trash outside of that one FIRE sushi spot which was packed that sushi really was :wow:

in all fairness to SF as pathetic as the rent is there, at least there was shyt to do..

Yeah Palo Alto is pretty boring. The little clubs/bars/restaurants on University are ok. But outside of that and Stanford University, Palo Alto is really laid back and very :mjpls:

But East Palo Alto (EPA) is :damn: Its not as bad as it was in the 90s, but shyt is like night and day compared to Palo Alto.

@sfgiants :sas2:

But someone explain to me why the wages in SF are so high, not every one there can be working for silicon valley.

And breh the rent is too Damn high in SF, I heard it's around 4-5k on average...

Edit: also forgot LA wages aren't like SF, on average.

the tech workers skew the salaries. and even they can't afford to live here most of the time which is why u got a bunch of people living with 3-4 roommates paying 1800$/ each a month :scust:

20 years ago the avg house was under 300k. :mjcry:

it's a small suburb of like 60k people and he's comparing it to a world class city

like saying man I drove a honda civic all those IIHS safety awards and reliability don't mean shyt cuz that car is fukkin trash compared to an aventador

like ok. you really going to small ass towns expectin it to be poppin like LA or some shyt :heh:
Not even that breh but you'd think these ultra rich fukks would actually innovate and create a cool city with a decent infrastructure. But they're boring as hell.

I loved SF way more.
