like i said, i don't think of shefter as a journalist. he's an insider who happens to need to create written content for ESPN to drive clicks. he's just here to spread gossip, rumors and share comments people don't want to put names on

The problem is that he sent them the entire article for editing/review and cutting out ESPN's editors in the process. I do think that part of it is jealousy of Schefter and his connections, but I can see why there's a problem with what he did.

To us it isn't, because we're in tune with the sports world and how this is routine business with national level reporting from the Schefter's and Sham's.

The casual fan actually thinks they're breaking stories in good faith with investigative journalism, that's why he had to come out and release that apology.

This is another case of a small portion of people on Twitter being mad but they make enough noise that it becomes a trending topic even though it's no big deal in the grand scheme of things. By next month (and I'm being generous when I say a month, maybe even by Sunday lol) most will move on.
