Uncertain grounds
Would you support giving tax payer funded Grants to applicants who are willing to renovate warehouses to include pods for homeless people to sleep in?

Side context:
-Pods are not climate controlled
-No security in the building
-Port-O-Potties outside
-Owner is not liable for any injuries or deaths on the premises
-Owner also advocates for child labor and no minimum wage

yes. but homeless people must also work on premise and can't leave if they want a pod.

They can leave if they would like, they would be issued key cards to unlock the entrance.

There would be wifi for their pods that is heavily restricted to sites "deemed productive" to human development. Sites would be up to the discretion of @DEAD7

Each hobo gets 3 months of pod rental for free as well as a small UBI as a part of a grant to get themselves on their feet for those 3 months and automatic enrollment into food stamps.

They get exclusive right to renew a pod for the amount of the UBI previously received ad infinitum which would then get put into the pocket of @DEAD7 as rental income.

There are no cooking appliances in the warehouse. No loitering and bringing a non approved guest into the pod is a felony.

There is an emergency button in the pod that would cycle into a 911 switchboard.

Law enforcement and medical personnel can enter the warehouse at any time and for any reason.

In favor?

I appreciate this thread because it’s a solutions thread and not some doofy political punditry.

Many other nations do this and it’s cheaper than the crap we have here.

The first thing would be to tell real estate developers to fukk off and build real public housing. Then get rid of all means testing and start treating people after they get residence.
