Same thing they did to Kobe, shyt on him for not having the finals MVPs. It started with Kobe and then circled back around to Steph :mjlol:
Keep it real bro, who have you heard make that point in real life?

nikkas who been terminally online for 20 years have already said that Shaq Stans started that "no Finals MVP" conversation about Kobe back on Sohh or some message board. Yet when I was in prison the same time these nikkas were online, I never heard anybody once bring up Finals MVPs about Kobe when making a case against him...

I never once heard anybody offline make a Finals MVP point against Kobe or Steph. That's an online and social media era microwave talking point. Nobody who really talks basketball talks like that...

All of this superteam nonsense like Kobe didn't spend the first decade of his career with PRIME SHAQ while Lebron was hooping with Boobie Gibson :mjlol: Because playing with Kevin Love and a young Kyrie against the Warriors or with AD as an old man is equivalent to playing with prime Shaq for most of your 20s.

I'm not sure who ya'll think Kobe is, we've seen his entire career play out. We've seen him win sidekick rings, we've seen him lose in the finals with prime Shaq to a team without a superstar, we've seen him blow 3-1 leads in the first round and miss the playoffs in his prime, we've seen him be incapable of winning a single playoff series without a HOF teammate, we've seen him get packed out again and again after the age of 31 and fade into irrelevance, we've seen him win a single MVP in 20 years. He simply isn't in the conversation. Legendary player but GOAT? If any of these applied to Lebron he would be crucified :dead:

Shane Battier and Kirilenko are great wing defenders, especially Battier. Who was Kobe's comp at the guard position? Raja Bell :unimpressed: The point is these awards are narrative/reputation based and Kobe's reputation as a defender exceeded his actual impact.

I'll reiterate: Kobe was a good defender at the guard position but not an all-time great defender. Especially when compared to elite defenders like Duncan, Olajuwon, Garnett, or Lebron whose prime defensive metrics are through the roof, yet most have fewer All-defensive selections. Lebron has quadruple the amount of top 4 DPOY finishes than Kobe which is a better illustration of their defensive standing in the league.
You arent really saying anything new at this point breh :pachaha: as Barkely said when Bron signed with the heat. He was disqualified from GOAT talk. He did not get it the right way. He gamed the system. So all his achievements post superteam mean very little . Can you imagine Bean joining forces with Dirk and Tmac in Dallas ? That’s essentially what he did in Miami . And again in Cleveland . Running around chasing rings in your prime is inexcusable and unheard of . This is something old heads do . No matter how mich you BRON stans kick and scream his rings are cheap :manny:

Also how many times has the player on the opposing team who plays the same position won finals MVP on his dome? I can think of two Kawhi and Durant . Doesn’t that end your anrgument about LeBron being a better defender than Kobe ? No teams 2 guard ever won finals mvp against Kobe :mjpls:

Bron "Stans" are more aligned with objective heads than anybody else's "stans"...

Never in NBA history has anybody cared if you won your rings with one team or multiple teams....until it came to LeBron.

Never in NBA history did mf's put more weight on Finals losses, than Finals wins, until LeBron. Never in NBA history did mf's look at getting to the NBA Finals and losing, as a lesser feat, than losing before the NBA Finals....until LeBron.

Mf's always understood it's a game where you can lose if the other team is better...until LeBron.

Kobe has 5 rings but won only two of them as a #1. And I'm using "only" facestiously, because that's not an easy feat. The NBA has been around for 79 years, and only 16 guys have been the best player on more than one championship team:

(8) Bill (8-1)

(6) Mike (6-0)

(5) Mikan (5-0)

(4) LeBron (4-6), Duncan (4-0)

(3) Kareem (3-3), Magic (3-2), Bird (3-2), Shaq (3-1)

(2) Wilt (2-4), Kobe (2-2), KD (2-2), Hakeem (2-1), Steph (2-1), Zeke (2-1), Cowens (2-0)

It's a major accomplishment, and Kobe's being in that class, is a huge reason why he's a Top 10 player ever. But of those 16 guys, 9 guys have 3+ championships as the best player on a title team. Neither Steph nor Kobe are in that category and they are typically ranked accordingly...

If Steph ends his career with more rings than LeBron, we'll salute him. Nothing Steph does is any threat whatsoever to LeBron's career, and with him already in Y16, it's virtually impossible he'll match LeBron's chips as a #1, let alone surpass it...

Steph's legacy stands on its own merits (as did Kobe's), it's only threatening to LeBron by you nikkas who don't appreciate Bron 😂

No other superstar has moved around and teamed up with other stars like Bron has. That’s why it’s taken into account when judging his finals appearances and rings. Also, Kobe was a top 3 NBA player at the time when the Lakers went on that 3-peat.
