The military had a habit of interfering with civilian rule and were prosecuted legally. They were a corrupt and self-serving bunch.
All the other shyt is condescending to the millions of Turks who elected him in open and fair elections.
Somehow I don't think many right wing Westerners will take it well if after Brexit the army stepped in to enforce the will of the establishment because the majority didn't know what was good for them.
