The Dust King
A Childrens Story
NY had the chance to buy property for cheap back in the crack epidemic, but nikkas were too proud to do legal ownership and rather rep the crime/ ills on their block to do anything.
NYC was definitely affordable 10 years ago, breh. Even still, the same native NYC cats that will talk they ass off at loud decibels about how they city is so much better and how they are go getters in a place where there is so much opportuinity, sat back like little passive weak humanoids while the things they claim to care about had the sands of time ticking against them.
so its our fault? how much time did we need to get our act together though?
you nikkaz is quantum leaping cuz your not in the same dimension/timeline as me
on my world it went like this
1960; civil rights
1970; dismantilization of opposing political and militia groups
1980; crack cocaine and AIDS epidemics
1990; second generation reprecussions from 80s
2000; the ghetto is prime real estate
2013; nikkaz on the internet actin like we had all this time to get our shyt in order
with that "we did it to ourselves" mentality. we are victims, recognize the victimization and k.i.m., thers no reason to dwell. analyze and move on
