I understand its art and inspiration and and what not, but why even tease the fans with letting the original be heard in all it's perfect glory, Just for it to not be on the album, or have a bootleg waterd down version of it all because of sample clearing issues!?
Have that shyt taken care of before You even let that shyt be heard, or what i prefer... Get you a talented young Lady /young Man who can sing their ass off ,redo that shyt, and blow the original sample out the Water!

If i want to use a tevin Campbell sample.. fukk That, ill go to the local Church get a nikka out the choir and have him put his talents to use singing The same thing,plus put him on..

how is it different? I remember listening to a song a few years ago and I swore there was a sample missing or something different about it. I lost my CD years and years ago I’ll have to either find an original pressing or find a link to the old album somewhere.
The sample of the hook with the horns. On the new presses, it isn't there anymore because later on 15 years later, puff got sued for it so on future releases they took it off.
so now anyone that cops the album today or streams it, the hook sounds like this
