I remember reading somewhere (might have been the Wu Manual) that the samples of Shogun Assassin in Liquid Swords cost $100Gs. Imagine if RZA didn’t give a shyt about the art and took them out
WOW. I'm in my Liquid Swords zone this time of year. December up until like mid-January is the only time I play this album (top 10 album for me). It would be an entirely different album and experience without the Shogun Assassin samples.
Damn that's like the third time in this thread the sample wasn't cleared.
The official version that came out is better to me.

They are both good tracks. The OG version would have balanced the album more....given it some soul. Previous TIP albums always had some balance between sampled/non sampled tracks....
