Those stage demos were real hands on demonstrations. Do you mean remote-play with a retail PS4? If that's what you mean, we aren't gonna see that for awhile because there are no finished games to run on a retail ps4, right now.

Also, the Xbox One Dev-kit has the exact same case as the retail version (with minor differences).

There's actually some evidence that the demos were not real demos. Most stage demos are "staged" and by "hands on" I ment the press/public getting to try the features out.

And there are multiple iterations of the Xbox dev kit. I'm not sure what that has to do with this thread though.

There are working retail Xbox ones available right now, and it passed FCC certification before the ps4

Its not news. Someone found out about ps4 and wrote a story about it. But it's not something that companies actually report on.

I know companies don't report on it, the net ninjaz usually find the FCC cert. And MS themselves said they upped the clock speed of the gpu a month ago, which would require a "recertification".

No it wouldn't. The certifications deal with "maximum theoretical" specs which is why the numbers reported for ps4 were maximum theoretical speeds, not the speeds Sony is actually using.

When filing you are allowed to ask for confidentiality. Apparently both Sony and M$ did but Sony still leaked. If you look at other devices we don't find out about the approval until after the confidentiality period.

And common sense will tell you M$ has no reason to lie about this. The truth will come out eventually. If they had not filed yet it would make more sense to just keep quiet.
