the movie made a billy due to marvels influence of course you would go back after the contract is ended and try to re-negotiate who the hell wants to pay all the production cost and only get 5 percent of the profits, now they going to be netflix/hulu status talking about some "remember when the red flying guy mentored you" oh shyt bout to be sooo cringe :wow:

wakanda is now going to be "some mysterious nation with a leader in a cat suit"

no reference to any avengers

welp i'll wait for it to come on bootleg :mjlol:

Everything I'm reading is Disney is the one trying to change the original terms on the Deal and Sony doesn't want to fully give up one of the most popular comic characters ever. Look, Yes Disney/MCU helped boost Spidey by putting him in "Civil War" and the "Avengers" Films but "Homecoming" didn't do better than the Toby's Spidey's and "Far from Home" domestically still hasn't done better than Toby's original Spidey (Yes Worldwide it hit A Billion but it got that "Endgame" Bump internationally). The original "Spidey" was the 1st film ever to have a 100 Million Dollar Opening Weekend breaking the record.

Long before the MCU was even created. Matter of fact "Spiderman 3" also broke the OW weekend record. Also I see what Sony is doing. "Venom" did very well at the box office outside of Disney or the MCU (Venom had a better box office than Ant-man 1, Thor 1, Cap 1, Doctor Strange as well as Guardians 1 Worldwide). They are thinking they can do their own "Spidey" Universe and it can be successful. "Into the Spidey Verse" just won an Oscar too. Sony is very confident in the brand. This is big business guys, Disney isn't a victim, they are a big business as well sucking up and buying all the popular franchises (Fox/Star Wars/Avatar etc). Sony is doing what's best for their Studio. We'll see if Disney changes their minds and plays ball with Sony.

Am I gonna be the one to say it? :dame:
I liked Far from Home. But it wasn't insurmountably better than TAS movies.

I liked Homecoming. It was the best Spiderman movie made since SM2 but mostly because of Tom Holland (who is coming back) and because Spiderman could be tied into the Avenger movies (that are now over).

If we keeping it funky, with MCU Avengers being kaput and knowing they were NEVER gonna do any real mashup movies with Spiderman any time soon if at all, plus no one Avenger being in Spidey movies aside from a brief cameo here and there...there's not much lost. The three most highly regarded Spiderman movies were all Sony IP. Spiderman, Spiderman 2 and Into the Spiderverse. I see why Sony isn't interested in giving Disney half when that wasn't the negotiated deal.

How is this on Sony when its Disney that wants to go back on the original agreement and take half of everything Sony does spiderman related?

:gucci:

who was responsible for the movies that were actually good and made people give a fukk about Peter Parker :gucci:

Do you wanna see Peter Parker fighting Jamie Foxx Electro or wearing leisure suits again and being corny :gucci:

Marvel made that character hot in the streets and part of something bigger and better than Sony ever did :gucci:

If you want that old mid again :hubie:

Yeah but you get a check for just owning though you don't have to spend time making the movie

Thats true...sony doesn't have to take the risk or recoup cost. The deal they had with Marvel was perfect. Do nothing and give 5% of the profit...:mjlol:.

shyt is equivalent to someone going to work and doing your job for you. While you at home and get a check from work every two weeks. Then all you do is give the person who worked your job every week for you a lousy $20 bucks....come paycheck time.:russ:

Got people calling Sony greedy when Disney wanted to go from a 5% cut to a 50% cut of the profits :diesel:

This is why America is in shambles :diesel:

I am sure the 50% was a start off negotiaton. Sony was probably not going to budge on that 5%. shyt the execs were like we get to keep all the profit except 5% and not have to spend any money on production costs....this the greatest deal ever in man kind. We ain't letting off this deal till the casket drops...:lolbron:

All and all I think there is so much money involve that both sides will come back to the table and negotiate a new deal. Disney won't get the 50%, but also won't be getting just 5% either.

:unimpressed:I know people hate sony, but we’re all gonna act like the first 2 Sony Spider-Man movies weren’t good/great and weren’t popular as fukk?

The Andrew Garfield movies were trash but marvel didn’t pull spider man from their ass like the guardians.

Spider-Man will be a relevant and money making character anywhere.
