If it delivers what they promise it is absolutely worth $300. It is a breakthrough technology that takes the experience to the new level, so it's worth the premium.

Same with Google Glasses, if it lives up to the initial hype instead of being glorified notification glasses they will be worth the money.

My only problem with google glasses is the horrible design...

If they can refit the camera and actually make the eyeglass lenses like the new contact lenses

well you're comparing a target price to a dev kit price. both could change a lot before release, but I think the OR probably will be more expensive. and I agree $3-400 isn't too much for this tech
