breh, there could be a 50 page thread on some random microsoft policy that affects almost nobody that will buy the x1, but sony literally tries to debo some dude outta 600$ and this shyt is dead.

what happens when we get to the point where people have hundreds of dollars worth of games tied to their psn? will sony start bullying people into not complaining about their shyt service, that we all pay for, by threatening to wipe their games?
Receipts?? Because this isn't really true at all. When was the last time some minor policy or whatnot came out involving the larrybox and there were pages upon pages of discussion? The last time I vividly remember a huge discussion over Microsoft anything was around the launch of the consoles which Microsoft warranted. Sounds like some sort of victim complex.

Microsoft wanted DRM on there systems so that games could be shared freely.

All this BS wouldn't even be a issue if people wouldn't have boo'd DRM from jump, you'd literally have 10 other people that could play whatever they wanted of yours and you of there's. Xbox would check in every 24 hours and that would be a wrap.


Now fools essentially have DRM don't own what they buy and if they share it the wrong way it gets taken from them.:mjlol:

This too true, PSN is free, I heard that so much. People hated on the fact that you had to pay for live.

PSN started charging and you didn't hear a peep from the sony crowd. If microsoft would have done that all hell would have broken loose.

What does that have to do with this situation?? Some breh got his credentials got, he got the situation rectified by Sony. This ain't the same as some policy that will affect every costumer :stopitslime:.

Sounds like a load of bullshyt to me breh. Dude in the situation here got the shyt taken care of. I've heard both sides of the story where a customer didn't get what he wanted from Sony and I heard from dudes saying Sony catered to them well. The thing that differentiates this situation is each user has something different going on.

Yea, you did. You guys to love act like nobody be calling out Sony when they do shyt that's wrong. Essentially, Sony just made PS+ a requirement for PS4, something people already had on PS3.

PSN is STILL free on PS3 and PS Vita. Hell, PS+ is a better value than Xbox Live Gold breh, tell me I'm lying :stopitslime:.

As for this "People hated on live for having to pay" shyt.. That's a bold faced lie. People always boasted about how "You get what you pay for" in regards to XBL. The only thing people didn't like was having apps like netflix behind the Gold paywall. All this Sony gets their shyt sweeped under the rug is straight up bs. The reason you don't hear much outrage is because there isn't really shyt to be outraged about.

This is where you sound like a shill, dude got got and Sony told him he was on his own, and that they could only give him 150$ in psn store credit even though he had got robbed of 600$, they said it was against their policy to give him his money back, that's a policy that could potentially affect everyone seeing how unsecured psn seems to be.

They also said he would have to wait 6 months before he can aquire primary ownership of the account because it's their policy,during that time I assume the hacker retains ownership till the 6 months is up or he deactivates it himself, again, another policy that could affect everyone. Yeah the rectified this issue, but only after they tried to bully him into eating the 600$ loss, even threatened to ban him if he took it up with the bank. They didn't do shyt for him till he went public and they heard the outcry brewing.

You may have heard that people were taken care of but the common theme seems to be that Sony is hard to deal with, I had first hand experience of this.

Being in second has seem to make Microsoft hussle to make their console better.

Sony seems like they are getting too cocky being in first.

That policy seems to be in place because some dudes be scheming. Initially, Sony wouldn't be wise to accept everyone's claim of "I WAS HACKED, i GOT MY STUFF STOLEN!!!".

They didn't bully him, he agreed to the TOS. It's not Sony's fault people don't read. It's the user fault for accepting the TOS. Ok? All that hustling still hasn't converted into a truly better console. It's better in the sense of comparing it to it's initial launch, but the X1 is FAR behind PS4 overall in terms of features, games and upcoming content.

but only one of those platforms are completely unwilling to properly assist their customer after getting their account compromised.

like ive said, ive dealt with sony over suspect transactions on my account. i literally had to argue with them just to get them to LOOK INTO the shyt, let alone actually do something about it. i didnt get my money back cause it was such a hassle trying to just get them to open up an investigation, i just never contacted them to find out the results. id rather just take the 20$ loss

Most companies worth their shyt has special departments they transfer you to that deals exclusively with theft and compromises of personal information.

Not defending this in any way shape or form but aren't all games technically 'lease' agreements?

I've read this before, that technically we are leasing every game we buy, even physical (not sure if this is true)

Pretty sure Microsoft has the right to take away your digital games too
