Not defending this in any way shape or form but aren't all games technically 'lease' agreements?

I've read this before, that technically we are leasing every game we buy, even physical (not sure if this is true)

Pretty sure Microsoft has the right to take away your digital games too
Yes it's true that when you purchase a game your only purchasing a liscense or a right to use the software. But that doesn't mean its a "lease" you supposed to own it indefinitely.

And no its not Microsofts policy to revoke all of your games if they cancel your XBL account.

I meant license not lease, but thank you

Microsoft wanted DRM on there systems so that games could be shared freely.

All this BS wouldn't even be a issue if people wouldn't have boo'd DRM from jump, you'd literally have 10 other people that could play whatever they wanted of yours and you of there's. Xbox would check in every 24 hours and that would be a wrap.

Now fools essentially have DRM don't own what they buy and if they share it the wrong way it gets taken from them.:mjlol:

You really believe that big publishers would be fine with 1 person buying a game for 10 people to share rather that those ten people buying their own copy each and make more money?

:laff: :laff: :laff: :laff:

You prattle on about sony stans being this that and the third but only a major league xbox fanboy would really believe such a crock of garbage. It was all about making MORE money for publishers, not less.

Do you have any proof that they wouldn't? You think big developers didn't know what microsoft was planning way before it was announced to the public? You think they just wouldn't release a game on the system? Of course they would, and especially if the feature was for like digital purchases only where they could get 100 percent of the revenue.

All sony does is fukk you people over and you turn a blind eye to it.

Hi, I'm PS4 your neighborhood drug dealer. And by drug, I mean green. And by green, I mean greener side
I slang Xbox :manny:

Like most, I was a 2cept. Felt that if you talked funnystyles on anything sony then you was liable to catching the beatdown on site :birdman:
Well before Gamestop there was Funcoland. I worked at one when the PS2 and when the XB-OG released.
We had broken PS2's stocked to the ceiling, often times right out the box it wouldn't work.

Let me make this perfectly clear for all those who like to rewrite history. NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF CONSUMER ELECTRONICS WAS THERE EVER A SYSTEM FAILURE OF THIS MAGNITUDE.
At this time the Internet was a baby, most didn't have it. And if you did, you was rocking dial-up. About 150ppl had broadband. And yes, we called it broadband. You had DSL? Damn, you a baller then :whew:

Anywayz, with no things like HEAVILY POPULATED FORUMS, stories like what I'm sharing would not be known outside of smaller circles. I swear on my kids lives, we had sony reps who came to our stores, said they knew of the Disc Read Error (DRE) issues and planned on doing NOTHING about it. He wasn't thrilled about it either, customers where losing out, having to buy a warranty for a console was unheard of at the time (because it wasn't necessary)

So after my PS2 didn't work out the box, and I was only able to exchange because I worked there.. I later try out Halo, see how awesome it is, made the switch and never looked back. Loyalty to a company is the most retarded thing anyone could do. Xbox easily got this on lock tho :win:

Yup I worked at gamestop during the era of ps2 disc read errors as well. Trying to play blue back disc was a dice rolls on ps2. People still bought the systems like it was nothing though, it blew my mind. I was playing online matches on a system with better graphics and people where still like

:patrice: Microsoft....

I truly don't understand it. I guess the Playstation is alot of peoples "NES" just like nintendo can do know wrong to alot of older heads sony can do no wrong. It's kinda out of hand now with the internet tho...

Xbox 1 only had like a few notable games I wanted to play but besides that, XBL was too early. Nikkas was still coming to dudes cribs to get the beatdown in Madden, NBA Street, Def Jam or w/e. PS2 era :ahh:

I can understand feeling a certain way about PS3 or PS4...

But PS2 though? Son, PS2 is the Michael Jordan of home consoles. PS2 had a completely unmatched library of exclusives. UNMATCHED. Its not even up for debate fam. Many of the absolute best games that gen were exclusive on PS2 bruh.

When I used to get nostalgic about PS2, I would go to the PS2 section of gamefly and just be in awe of PS2's library.

:wow: There will never be another console like that.

Seriously. PS2 was just THAT system. Nikkas who copped Xbox 1's were just trying to go against the grain. Sony had the comfort console. You hardly had notable games missing from PS2's library and you also had a gang of niche games coming to it also. Online wasn't too big a deal because the early 00's, internet wasn't as antiquated as it is now. I didn't get real internet access at home until 2004.
