Why is it a dumb idea? The most successfull digital store in existence, the Apple Appstore, does this with no issue. Games and apps bought for my og iphone still work on my iphone 6. Keep giving your money to sony if it makes you feel better.

Ok, so maybe you aren't smarter than this? At least where technology is concerned...
PlayStation now has to RESERVE PS3 SERVERS for you to PLAY THE GAME. This is NOT COMPARABLE to TRANSFERING A FILE. It is akin to the OnLive service..which had to buy millions of dollars of GPU capable servers to render then stream the games.


Compare lifetime access to download a game to lifetime access to RENDER a game brehs :snoop:

No need to defend this service so vigorously. I couldn't give two fukks if you think its a great idea. I and most other logical gamers will be passing on the service i'm sure. Enjoy paying $240 a year for the right to rent a bunch of old ps3 games...:heh:

Sadly, you could probably take $240 and buy nearly all those games via ebay or your local pawn shop. :pachaha"

Maybe they will, then maybe they wont. Some folks only have a ps4 and don't want the clutter of older consoles..
I could care less about the service, whats annoying is when people don't compare apples to apples. Cant have you misinforming the brehs..breh :stopitslime:

this thread is hilarious...when they first announced this service, cats complained cause they wanted a sub plan and not ala cart...now that they give a sub plan, cats are still complaining lol....yall wont be happy untill they made this shyt free, and even then yall would probably still find something to complain about....'yea it's free, but they aint got the game i want to play, so the service is bullshyt' lol....

anyway, prices are what i expected....think it's a good deal if you plan on using the service a lot....15-20 to access a bunch of old games that you can play on different devices and all you need is a controller, pretty damn good.....also, if they are offering the sub plans and still have the option of letting you get games individually, they covering all bases....with that said, i wont be using the service....all the games i want to play, i buy....

also, would yall stop with that 'i can buy ____ game for cheaper' bullshyt...if you were gonna buy that game, you wouldve done it already and didnt need to see the price of this to inspire you to go do it...that's just a lame bullshyt reason to hate on some shyt you dont have to use....seriously: some of yall need to start focusing on shyt yall like and focus less on shyt yall dont, yall would enjoy life more....

I'd subscribe in a blink if they put up some PS1 titles, specifically the RPGs.
Nothing on the list that I really want to play, but if and when great games I missed out on last gen like the Uncharted series and Heavy Rain go up, I'll probably dive in.
