Niqqa I've been getting consoles every 2 or 3 years since I was 6 years old. So 6 years is pretty long to me

If the PS5 cannot play PS4 games, it will be for some dumb ass arbitrary reason. When in reality, it will be because studios wont be able to sell you the same game AGAIN. fukk that. Only time will truly tell

Now that consoles have moved into pc based architecture there's no reason anymore for them not to be.

it still will take some work, since these games were designed for fixed hardware

I feel like the Pro and the X1X are experiments in how it can work. backwards compatibility is one thing, but really you want a system that will use the newer hardware to make the game look/perform better. it would be nice to automate this process for all games, but so far it seems they need to individually patch each game. it will be interesting to see how it works with the X1X
