When Star said he grew up in Jersey around Italians and the mob in the 70s and that The Sopranos was bullshyt, it killed my impression of what I thought about The Sopranos.

My vote = The Wire.
it wasnt set in the 70s :heh: and what was bullshyt about it? not that im sayin hes wrong, i wouldnt fukkin know myself. im just curious

anyway i have the sopranos as 1a and the wire as 1b, if you put a gun to my head. they're hard to pick

I never said it was set in the 70's. I said that Star said he saw the mob hands on in the 70's and how they moved and concluded that Sopranos was bullshyt. Star is also Italian. I dont know how The Mob moves nor do I have Italian blood so I'm gonna take the word of someone more qualified to speak on it.

Sopranos. More complete show. Had everything you wanted. You could watch it for the drama or a comedy. The creative world was better and more character writing. The Wire was great but dropped off to me after Avon was gone and picked up a bit when Marlo got more screen time. Breaking Bad is not touching either of these shows. Its behind them both, and Game of Thrones. Realistically, its shoulder to shoulder with Mad Men.

Point being you can't be around a group of people in one decade, then watch a show about that group of people set 2 decades later and say "that's not how they do that"

Imagine a dude who was around crips in the 70's try and critique the accuracy of a show about crips in the 90's

A lots gunna change in them 2 decades

That's like asking what's better South Park or Family guy and saying "neither law and order"
The question was the goat series. A series doesnt have to be one theme to be comparable. We equate drama with quality whereas comedy is significantly more difficult.

What part of "Star is Italian and more qualified to speak on it then me" did u not understand??

The same Star who spoke on going to school with kids of mobsters and dating daughters of mobsters. Who am I gonna believe....him or you?
