I don't think he's shytting on anyone, he's making an observation. If you weren't planning on buying Tidal or if you weren't skeptical about it, he's not talking about you. When it's time to buy that iphone, the only thing nikkas want to know is "how much is it gonna cost" and "am I eligible for an upgrade"

To be real about it, how is what Jay did any different from what ya'll do daily. I've seen people on here equate Black struggles to their dislike of certain artists. When called out about it, you attempt to guilt people for questioning them by trying to rationalize "it's for the people". In reality, their rationalizations feed their selfish need to tear down an artist they don't like while hiding behind their distorted perception of being Pro-Black.
For example, that thread about Kendrick Lamar calling himself "Welvin The Great" for that Taylor Swift video. People called him c00n, questioned his views, question his Blackness, and said he was shucking and jiving. They didn't even see the video or provide a rational justification of why. They accused him of tearing down another Black man all while doing to Kendrick what they accused him of. It's not only that, but people on here have even co-signed a Klan leader for saying that our music is destructive (knowing that his agenda was him saying that we do more to destroy ourselves than the Klan).
Point: posters here point the finger at Jay and other artists, while they do the same thing. The difference is that they do it to tear down artists they don't like.

It's peculiar how Black people see it with 20/20 vision when it's Jay using "these kind of tactics", but aren't as observant when spending their money with others using the exact same tactics.
What's wild is that people think it's somehow more profitable to be fake pro Black and pander to 13% of the population when he could just as easily pander to the group with the bigger pocketbooks and higher spending power.
The crazy part about it is a lot of posters here said that being Pro-Black should be marketable even if the sentiment wasn't genuine.
