No Tampa is in its own little sphere over there on the Gulf. I think out of the major cities it has the best vibe. Orlando seems nuerotic. Miami is pretentious and faux, can be fast paced if you want that lifestyle. Jacksonville is gross.
If you didn't like food in Miami you probably won't enjoy Tampa culinary scene either , though I personally believe you can find quality food in both places.

nikkas still acting like Cuban is a race instead of a nationality like American stay erasing Black people and their history in the Diaspora like how white people do in America.

i'd have to check out the book but haitians do vodou cubans do santeria there's a lot of similarities but they are slightly different. cubans get alot of government benefits that english speaking caribbean people and haitians didn't/don't. haitians got some protections as refugees and tps but i believe their tps status expired. most jamaicans get into the us through work visas or family reunification
yep that's what he said, he said the haitians doing voodoo and the cubans doing santeria with the goat blood and chicken sacrifices (if that's correct) was looked at as backwards. He also said Cubans got a lot of benefits as you said from the government when black people were marginalized, which of course caused envy and jealousy (understandable). Point I was making with the amount of people coming in from both areas it caused some static, but he said for the most part people got along, his first friend was a cuban kid.

Miami is Cuba now. Has been for at least 2 decades now. They got privileges others didn't. they were allowed to come over and stay while others were sent back. They got/get benefits like welfare, Medicaid, housing, etc as soon as they get here, yet pretend to be against socialism.
Doesn't matter now tho, Cubans run all aspects of Miami, to the point where if you don't speak Spanish you're looked down on by a lot.
Miami was built by Bahamians way before Cubans started coming over.
