He’s way too secretive with a lot of answers ..with like common generic questions

And the whole “appropriation” thing In regards to the hip hop 50 concert is a stupid take…I’m sure every artist there got less than they usually do when it’s a full actual concert for them to perform…

shyt was at Yankee stadium …they aren’t doing that shyt with free tickets :mjlol: …literally no company is doing that

Yeah.. he was buggin on that

Also hurt me that he dont fuhk wit LL.

What y'all think of him saying NWA started the destruction of Hip Hop
I think during that time, it would seem that a lot of artists felt that if you weren't doing the same type of vibe as them, or their friends...of course while not biting styles or lyrics, you were contributing to the destruction of hip-hop. But he's probably echoing the same sentiments he has then. You still can't point the finger at them.

It's crazy that NWA gets the finger pointed though. They had 1 album...then Cube left. The second album was more aggressive than political overall, but musically they were pretty much off the radar then. Rap was evolving too fast. I remember people having it, but overall just pretty much going "ehhh". Plus Cube took a good portion of the fans with him.

Bottom line, the suits having more involvement in the process is what led to the destruction of hip-hop. Reducing the balance, running interference on projects, and all of the other games.

This. It's not like THEY had the power to fukk radio and the game up. If it wasn't them, it would have been someone else. They :mjpls: couldn't wait to peddle Black dysfunction.

concert was presented by Ciroc and Google Pixel. MLB (use of Yankee Stadium) and Live Nation/Mass Appeal (booking the artists) are also in the mix. I see Ed's point about why couldn't it be a free show with that caliber of sponsorship?
At the same time this is America and that concert was not a charity event.
Then look at the bill. According to Ed all of them took a pay cut. Didn't say how much, but wouldn't you agree Grandmaster Caz and all the other original heads appreciated whatever it was they got paid?

What did he say?

Well, basically he didnt fuhk with the Hip Hop 50 shyt..

He says Mass Appeal, I assume, low balled him to perform..lol. same with Rock the Bells.. he gave vibes like he dont like LL anyway. May be LL personality. He was also very to the point in Quicktime to pick Kane over LL.. lol

at the same time, he comes off anti corporate in hip hop. This dude felt The Yankee stadium thing should have been free for everybody..lol. just some outlandish thinking.. and also, it should have been more about the pioneers.. but anyway.

I'm pretty sure it was Special Ed, Mega was talking about when he was trying to do the Fresh track for Born and Raised. He said artist X wanted a certain amount, and he told dude he hadn't had a hit since The Smurfs was on TV. He said the name, but it's been 15 years, but I'm sure he said Special Ed
