Black male complacency is killing the black community. Especially when nikkas are too busy living off of women. ugh
I agree with the first sentence, but the last....i don't think it's like a humungous "Jody" living off of Yvette and Juanita issue/situation. Yeah there are some nikkas out there like that but i don't think that's the actual core of the problem. Most black men aren't on some Jody shyt. But many, if not most definitely have gotten too complacent, and yes it is crippling/killing the black community.
IMO, a more concise, analyzation is that a lot of black men have accepted the status quo. There's a lot of excuse making and finger pointing. Not enough black men set the bar high for ourselves as a group, we tell ourselves subconsciously or out loud that certain goals that ARE possible are impossible, we allow ourselves to become too easily distracted by p*ssy (carelessly impregnating some chick that we know we don't want to marry and having our wages garnished for 18 yrs), obssessed with fashion/shoes and "stunting" instead of creating and investing, etc. As a whole, things we need to take more seriously are degrees/trades, entrepreneurship, and marriage.
A lot of black men in their mid 20s and even 30s-40s still have the mentality of a young teenager. This might sound harsh but it's the truth. It's one reason why when you drive through random black areas most of the businesses are owned by non black men and none of the black men living around there see anything strange about it. Normally, men would notice that most of the business owners in/near their areas do not look like them or hire them and would want to pool resources together to change this, but bros largely do not.
A grown man who's 25+ with the mentality of a 15 yr old. Only concerns/conversations are about p*ssy, car accessories, clothes/shoes, sports/athletes, rappers. Never business/economics, investments, stocks, etc
shyt's all about the here and now and not tomorrow with us. Not all but i'm speaking in general. Not enough black men get together to discuss business/entrepreneurial moves, investment moves, etc a very large amount just want to stunt/floss on the next nikka, fukk bytches unprotected (even if they're "golddiggers" who just want a child support check), and aren't trying to work together as men to build anything.
Other black men like me who ARE business owners know this is the unfortunate truth.
When i see black men in their 20s and even 30s using the terms "hustle" or "grind" or even "work", i see that we now have a very limited/childlike view on what it is. Those of us who make our paper legally, consider "grinding" to be working a full time shift at the grocery store then another full time shift at Wendy's. We BRAG about this. There's nothing wrong with doing that until you can ADVANCE yourself to better things, but those little jobs shouldn't be something to be so COMPLACENT in as a grown man and definitely not brag-worthy. nikkas will get heated over someone saying this, but it's true. Work those jobs if you have to, but have some sort of plan to advance. Don't grow so complacent.
As for the guys who get their paper illegally, it is also crippling the black community, if we're being honest, because there are a lot of dudes going this route and since we're already targeted, a lot get caught. It's the more dangerous route, all in hopes of instant gratification, and often leads to being locked up for decades. Some would say it's worth it, i'd say it's not. I'd say if you actually manage who stack a lot and get away ALIVE and not locked away, get out of the game as soon as you can, and use the money you made to go legit, but most don't do this. The ones who finally get out of the game alive, the drug money they made mostly gets spent on cars, p*ssy, bottles, more drugs, etc. Instead of starting a legitimate business or investing in something. At least back in the day, some of the drug dealers started a black business after they got out the game. Lol these nikkas now would never even consider doing such. They just want to stunt in a car around town and be viewed as "that nikka". fukk building, teamwork and helping other black ppl do anything.
Instead of flipping packs we need to be shorting stocks. Instead of transporting product, we need to be transporting merchandise.
Goal shouldn't be to just "play the game", goal should be to take over the game. But most nikkas now are complacent and aren't thinking bigger.
Even out of the dudes i know who went to get their CDLs, only ONE started his own truck company, he's a cat in his 40s. Nobody else is even thinking like that.
Dudes are walking around with their chests puffed out calling themselves "bosses" while still being the white man's employee.
nikkas need to get more degrees, learn more trades and start more black businesses. Instead of shytting on these things and trying to talk other nikkas out of it, because they're individually satisfied with their position as a Wal Mart stocker. We need more black male plumbers, autobody repairmen, construction, engineers, lawyers etc then eventually more black men can link up and start their own companies and hire other black ppl.
We also need to buy more real estate, buy local politicians, etc.
Right now, nikkas are working harder, not smarter.
A nikka in another thread actually tried to bring up Asians, i told him, nikka look around, go to the window and look out if you need to, Asians (and Arabs) aren't debating about basketball players careers, sneaker colorways, who's the hardest rapper, instagram hoes, etc they're buying up property, silently signing deeds, giving out loans while their cousin is serving you chicken fried rice at the local spot, laughing all the way to the bank.
Black men complain a lot about black women's flaws but one thing i know, i currently know more black women with businesses or trying to start businesses (whether it's salon, dress store, etc) than black men who are
Many black men make excuses about entrepreneurship, trades/higher education, and marriage. The Coli is one good example of the mentality. Make a thread about black men/entrepreneurship and trades/degrees and you will immediately get a lot of excuses, finger-pointing and backlash/name calling.
