SPIN: If you're NOT prepared to DISCIPLINE your children with THIS ITEM should you even be having kids at all?

Should you have kids if you're not prepared to give them a belt whoopin when they act up?

I'm not saying to beat your children, but fear is an incredible motivator.
I'll just leave it at that.

:hubie:

Mike Tyson said something very interesting about his love for Cus...
Interviewer: "Did you fear him or did you love him?"
Mike: "Both?"

Parents need to instill fear and garner love from their children...

These kids are soft. Jsut take away their cell phone or whatever electronic they like most and keep it. These kids don’t go outside like that so they more dependent on that shyt then we were. I took my away my sons phone and banned him from his entertainment setup and that joker made the honor roll.

Like when I say take it away , take that shyt away and don’t give it to them for at least a couple of weeks. I take away my kids smartphone and give them a Nokia flip phone for emergencies. That alone typically breaks them and get them right

Tangibles
an occasional ass whooping won't replace parental discipline and time

a lot of parents use the belt but aren't diligent enough to ensure good decision making long term

The problem with your premise is in the black community "discipline" always has to devolve into a beating or some borderline cruel and unusual type of humiliation ritual

Again the elephant in the room is the parents severe lack of communication skills. There's also the issue of a lot of black parents seeing their kids as bills with feet, thus an object, thus a slave. There's a ton of unresolved trauma with black adults and their parents in this regard

This discussion can get so much deeper and nastier but I really don't think y'all want it to
Yep. Parents don't have kids..they have slaves. You are literally forced into your parents religion. Made to eat the food they want you to eat. Wear the clothes they want you to wear and you posed to be grateful for them wanting to have kids...nevermind the fact that they decided to have kids.

I've been said alot of black parents blame their kids for existing when the fault was all the parents.
