benoit was a lateral move.

outside of the rumble/mania moments - which came 4 years later, the wwf didnt do anything with him that wcw didnt do.
they encouraged him to get bigger thats about it...same with Eddie...its wild looking at old footage of them and how small they were compared to in WWE..they were JAKKED in WWE...i'm not saying Vince told them to take roids but the culture around them def pushed them in that direction.

I have a hard time watching Eddie footage from late 2004 till his passing, the OG was over like muthafukka and was likely the best wrestler on the planet at the time but was almost cartoonishly jacked/juiced in a way that you can tell just was taxing his heart

Eddie had no business having this much mass. Went from a cruiserweight to a Rugby player

i agree. i have an even harder time watching Benoit matches especially when he does the flying headbutt...ive seen people do that move and not look like they were hurt but i swear every time he did that move he looked like he was in a lot of pain. you know his brain/spine went through a lot.

man this pic really puts it into perspective. I never paid much attention to it while watching his matches

thing is i think he got on them after his car accident so he's had mass on him for years before the WWE
