Okay fam, I've seen people from Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, demo like they from The City. This happens everywhere...

people lie about where they from all the time what you won’t see is people from NYC “claiming” suburbs like they part of NYC or people from suburbs claiming NYC in front of people that know where they’re from.

it’s normal to be from LA or ATL surrounding areas and just “consider” that to be part of the city

I’m talking about how North Compton doesn’t border South L.A., because Willowbrook separates the two.
And I know this because I am from Carson, so fucc this map that was made by somebody who doesn’t know that fact.

-My nephew just moved with fam in the DFW area & was telling me that events be located in Arlington & advertise as Dallas & people from there also claim Dallas.

people from large metro falsely claim the main city all the time.

do people from that area claim Dallas to Dallas people? Hell no. I know this because I have family in Arlington and Mansfield and I go there every year. People out there don’t say they live in Dallas unless their out of town.

I thought LA was one big ass city growing up, and shut like Inglewood, Compton, and Long Beach were just neighborhoods in the city.

There aren’t many residential addresses there, but there are landmarks such as the World Famous (Killa) King Hospital. If I cared enough, I could probably find a map with Willowbrook on it...and it separates L.A. from Compton.

that’s area is Los Angeles. That’s a factual statement and whatever people “consider” it to be is relevant.

If I cared enough, I could probably find a map with Willowbrook on it...and it separates L.A. from Compton.

I could find that map too. What you won’t find a “willowbrook” city hall or “willowbrook” PD or anything acknowledging a “City of Willowbrook”. Because it don’t have exist.

learn about “census designated places”. You can call it what y’all want. Address says “Los Angeles”.

There is a CLEAR distinction between New York City and it’s suburbs. You either from a borough or you not there are not blurring of these like “westchester county is close so it’s still NYC” nah.

Lol the reason it doesn't happen in NYC is because they claim such a wide land mass and have boroughs. IF other cities did what NYC did then it wouldn't happen because Compton would just be a "borough" of LA.

Los Angeles land mass is significantly larger than New York City.

NY has boroughs, LA has countless districts and and neighborhoods, plenty other cities have zones, wards or whatever. Boroughs are not the reason there’s more of a distinction between the city and the burbs here. It’s because the city is so gargantuan that anything next to it is damn near the sticks.

If you can find that on a map too, then you’ll see it has a border and separates Compton from L.A.
Matter of fact, I think it has its own zip code.

The area your calling “willowbrook” has 3 zip codes that it shares with other parts of Los Angeles. for example, part of “willowbrook” is in 90059 same zip code as the Nickersons and imperial court which you will not try to say is it loss angeles.
