That would be one of the hardest decision a person would have to make. Like everyone else has said I would want to know how severe the disability would be before I made my decision. I don't know if I could kill my baby ya'll. If the child would have a poor quality of life and having them with me would be a miserable existence for them I would terminate the pregnancy.

why bring someone into the world that will suffer for most of his life. That's the way i look at it now but Idk how it would go down if it rly happened

I hate that argument, Nazis used to kill off all the retarded kids too.

Honestly, if I had a major accident and were on life support, I would probably ask that my family pull the plug.

I would not want to continue with life if my quality of life was severely reduced...

My uncle had a stroke at last year in his mid 40s... He is now paralyzed and can't speak.... the muscles in his face are paralyzed as well... His mind is absolutely fine... And when another family member passed, we saw him for the first time since his stroke.... When I tell you that a giant was reduced to an ant, I am not exaggerating... And he was depressed...his spirit was torn... And you could see it in his eyes... He didn't want to impose on the family.... He was broken because he can no longer control his body...
I personally would rather not live life as an adult dependent

I know how that is. I helped care for my grand daddy for years before he passed. He had dementia and was a double amputee. Just like your family we watch a fully independent man be reduce to being totally dependent. He use to cry because he knew that he was half the man he use to be. I told my family if I became in inviolate just put me in the nursing home because I wouldnt want them to have to spend their lives taking care of me.

It's such a hard choice... And I can't judge anyone for deciding one way or the other

An adult deciding on his own is different. I'm asking of an adult developed a disability, lets say through natural progression an adult developed severe retardation, would you make the decision to kill him to spare him from the poor quality of the remainder of his life?
