Definitely the magic is her best chance but I could have sworn Pop had her as coach in waiting.

I'm with Kyrie. Coaches are overrated. Wouldn't mind seeing a season without coaches during games. Just team captains calling shots.

Bro don't do that. Becky has definitely paid her dues by being an assistant coach. But I didn't have too much issue with the Nash hiring. Heck Jason Kidd and Larry bird were never assistants either so they are exceptions to the rule. She's coached the Spurs doing summer league and has the backing off Spurs players im sure. I've never heard a negative thing about her so it's only a matter of time before she gets a HC gig
Hmmm Jason Kidd, Larry Bird, and Steve Nash. Now what separates them from Becky Hammon. :jbhmm: Ohh I know it rhymes with fall of lame

Do all y'all keep these opinions to yourselves when you step outside your basement or are you shook when you ain't anonymous? Cause I don't hear as much women-hating shyt in a year of real life as I do in a single day here.
It's The Coli :manny:

There's more vitriol in women related threads than in those Michigan University pedophile threads :picard:

Women cannot lead men in professional sports :yeshrug:.

I get what you're saying, but if an organization is going to be pressured into doing it, then the professional level is probably best because the molding process of young men should be nearly complete... it's still not a good look tho

More a numbers issues - there are tens of thousands of high schools in America and they don't have the entire country to recruit coaches from, so by sheer chance a woman is more likely to end up heading them.

Even back in the 1990s when I was in high school there were women coaching some of the JV teams in our league just cause no one else wanted to. It's not like it's ever an issue. Guys posturing like Neanderthals talk like there ain't female drill sergeants and corrections officers all over the country but basketball X's and O's are just too manly for a woman to understand.

I don't think it's about X's and O's at all.
Female drill sargeants and lieutenants, etc. don't just have more influence over they people they supervise, they also get paid more.

The power dynamic is very different in pro sports, especially basketball where players can have more leverage than the coaches sometimes.
